Omi

When Omí laughs, it bounces off his chest with his eyes crinkling. 
look with intent into the pool of his eyes. 
what you find is a swirl of twinkling colors. black- for all the losses Omí has known, yellow- for the brightest days of his life,
blue- for all the unending possibilities.

but Omí has known pain. 
a pain bigger than his jingling laughter and twinkling eyes. 
Omí, just like his name-water, chose to flow. 
flow with life.
perhaps like a gentle ripple. 
maybe a surging current. 
but Omí will flow.
